Open Mind Coaching UK – Our First Blog

Since updating the website we seem to have become so busy, we’ve not had a chance to start on our company blog. I hope the increase in clients and training programme requests have been as a result of the new website.  Hey there is a survey in that some where.

Well even at this late time in the evening, I’ve decided to bite the bullet and get it started.

From time to time, many of our partners and friends ask us to pass on information about the events and activities they have coming up, through our networks. When possible we will endeavour to do this on their behalf.  So if you are looking to find out what is happening, I would encourage you to check back to our blog frequently.

The WiM Leicester branch of are looking for new people to help them further develop and run their events.  WiM Leicester has been in existence for nearly five years and have an good reputation for providing excellent service to members and visitors.  We work closely with many organisations across Leicester, Leicestershire and the East Midlands.  We have recently extended our network of groups to include Derby and Nottingham.  Our search for new members is due to an increase in our activities.

WiM events are mix of personal and professional development in focus and can include anything from speakers/discussions to activities, training and networking events.  WiM is a part of the Chartered Management Institute and was established1969.   WiM is also a charity and our volunteers benefit from having the opportunity to give back  to the community, help individuals learn in a fun and supportive environment as well as learning and practicing new skills themselves.  We have seen many of our members and visitors learn new and in some instances, life changing skills.  We can help you reach your true potential.

If you are a student, looking for a way to learn new skills or if you are retired or currently unemployed, doing voluntary work can help to develop your confidence in the business environmen, get experience and extend your CV – this would be a great way to do it.  Benefits in addition to the above include:

    • discounted attendance at all our events;
    • opportunities to meeting people who run their own businesses and/or work in larger and smaller organisations;
    • opportunities for personal development;
    • networking, and much more.

If you would like to get involved or just find out more about what we do, please send me an email to wimleicester@managers.org.uk I look forward to hearing from you.
