Open Mind Training is delighted to bring you the first in a series of workshops made available through the partnership between Open Mind Coaching and the Nationwide Building Society. These workshops are open to Nationwide staff and the general public.

They offer a wonderful opportunity to learn new skills, address areas of difficulty or challenge in a supportive and confidential environment, where you can ask questions and learn ways to improve your confidence, general ‘know-how’ and improve your talents.

Confidence Building

What will be covered?

In this session we look at understanding what confidence really is, who holds the power of our confidence and how we can easily give that power away.  We learn quick and easy techniques that can help you building confidence at any time and then get you started with other strategies to build your confidence over the longer term.

This course will benefit you if you’d like to refresh how you look at your own confidence building strategies or if you would like to raise your self-confidence even a little.  No experience is required, just a willingness to be honest and open with yourself and to bring about some change.

SANDRA POLLOCK is an Executive Business & Personal Development Consultant with over 25 years’ experience in people development, operational and organisational change and strategic management.  Sandra is a qualified Strategic Business Coach and has also been a Growth Accelerator on the Government Business Growth Service since 2010 supporting start-up and established businesses and helping their managers at all levels to successfully lead, manage and develop their staff and increase the profits for their businesses. Sandra has worked in a range of business sectors including Retail, Manufacturing, Web Development, Banking, Human Resources, Transport, Social Care, NHS, Social Service, Membership, Charity & voluntary organisations.  Sandra is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute, a Fellow of the Institute of Consulting, and has received numerous awards for her work with women in management, leadership and management and the community.  She is an international speaker, motivational and formational development coach.

SONIA THOMPSON is an Organisational Development specialist. She began her career as an Occupational Psychologist and worked for over twenty successful years in Universities as a Senior Lecturer and External Examiner for undergraduate and postgraduate courses. An experienced and qualified Strategic Business Coach and trainer she has developed and delivered courses in the private, public and third sectors and coached businesses in Sales and Marketing, NHS, Finance, Local Authority, Health and Social Care, International Development and Housing amongst many others.  She has been a PERA Growth Accelerator Coach for five years.  She uses Theory U and mindfulness in her coaching and OD practice and currently sits on the UK Presencing Institute’s Core Team.  Sonia works with businesses in the UK and abroad.
